History: Sora's Story
AU History:
Roxas and Sora were born to a very unhappy whore at the Honeybee Inn who dumped them off as soon as they were born on the first kind person she could find. Given they grew up in the slums and no one really has money in the slums, the boys were passed from person to person for the first five years of their life. (Which prompted them to grow very close to one another and rely on each other even at a young age.) By the time they were six, they had learned to completely fend for themselves by digging through the garbage, gathering up things that would help them and earn them money, and finding the best places to sleep at night all huddled together. Their mother would make appearances here and there and Sora would do his best to be a good son during those times but her visits ended when the plate fell. Sora doesn't really like talking about it.
When Meteor fell and Midgar was ruined, the twins ended up doing what all the other orphans in Edge did: Collecting and trading junk. There was a lot of competition for the business but Sora took it all in stride...and ended up helping Roxas out with his pickpocketing. Because who can resist a charming little boy that wants to chat their ear off--while his twin robs them blind?? Life came to a screeching halt for them when Roxas ended up with geostigma. Sora's entire world starting crumbling apart then and he was terrified that he was going to lose his brother/best friend. Thanks to the healing rain, though, Roxas was healed before that could happen and now the boys are trying to make the best of their still crappy life in Edge!
Personality:
Where Roxas is the moody, pricky twin, Sora is the bubbly, light hearted one that always has a smile for people even if he doesn't know them. He's an absolute charmer when he wants to be and can smooth talk his way out of situations if given the chance. (aka when he doesn't feel guilty for conning people) He generally tries to have a positive outlook on things and will do his best to cheer Roxas up when the other is feeling down in the dumps. He doesn't like to play people or con them out of things but you gotta do what you gotta do when it's a matter of survival and Sora knows that. He may not like it, but he knows it.
Keeping Sora away from Roxas is not recommended as it prompts the usually bubbly twin to get moody and sullen. Tears come very easily when he's away from his twin as does a lot of yelling. Sora also doesn't take kindly to people being mean to other orphans, even if they are competition for resources, and will jump to the defense of others and into a fight without any hesitation.
In general Sora is the more emotional of the twins and tends to wear his emotions on his sleeve. Which is terrible for a pickpocket. That's why Roxas is the one that does the stealing. He just talks.
Anything else: Ice cream is very important.
