[ It feels like it's been way longer of a day than it really has been. The axe can attest to that. Still, he hasn't heard from that kid since and considering how worried the young man had sounded, well. It wouldn't hurt to check up on him. Especially when he hadn't heard anything from the others who planned to accompany him.

So, despite the headache, he shoots off a message his way. ]

Hey, kid. It's Zack. You find 'em in one piece? [ Don't mind the way his words sometimes sound a bit wandering and far apart. He's totally okay. ]

[Sora had honestly complete forgot about checking in with people. He'd been so caught up in everything that was going on and trying not to slow down his traveling companions that it had slipped his mind.

Because he's Sora.

Hearing the other's voice, especially after his own conversation with Zell, is a relief and a smile is definitely audible in his voice.]

Hi Zack! I did, yeah! It wasn't too hard. The maps I had helped a lot! [He does notice and it makes his smile falter, a tiny bit of concern creeping into his voice.] How're you doing?

[He has a headache and really doesn't want to read through the obituaries for Sora's name. He's clinging to hope that his new friend made it out okay. Shooting him a quick message, while they prepare to head towards the the post office.]

[It has, in theory, only been a few days since the last time he's seen or spoken to Sora, but considering the events of the past three, it feels as if that time's been stretched on forever. At first, he'd been worried maybe the other had been taken and was down below, but he hadn't spotted him, even in the panic. Which only provided a small bit of comfort, considering.]

[You know, besides for the radiation poisoning.]

[Nah, he was stuck topside all by himself! ...Which probably wasn't much better but hey, he was alive and okay and now taking care of Charlie.

Hearing the ping of a message and then Cloud's voice brightens the exhausted teen and when he answers he sounds genuinely pleased to hear from the other.]

[ It's been a while. Too long, really, since he's heard from Sora. How fast time passes without you knowing sometimes. Considering everything that's happened though, he supposes he's been... busy.

If getting into fights with vampires and friends constitutes for busy anyway. But now that things have settled a bit... all the more reason for him to check in then, isn't it. ]

Hey, Sora. It's me. How've you been? Haven't gotten into too much trouble without me, I hope.

[There's both surprise and delight in Sora's voice when he gets the message and he pauses in his wandering with Davesprite so he can properly respond.]

Me? Get into trouble? Never!

[He can't help but laugh a bit, glancing up at Davesprite and motioning for him to continue.]

Did Kunsel and Zell get back to you and Jim? Zell seemed pretty worried when I saw them at the aquarium.

[Perhaps he should have messaged him the day before, but Davesprite figured it would have been obvious things didn't go well with Jade just from when she got back without him. And then came Brian's message that night, and the decision that not checking on Sora or Jade immediately might be a little safer. But it's the next morning, and perhaps now the coast is clear enough to ask.]

[When Davesprite didn't come back, Sora had assumed things hadn't gone quite to plan and part of him had wanted to go after the other. Given the conversation he'd had with Brian, though? It was probably..best just to let everything cool down. So he'd stayed with the duo, enjoying having company for a few more days.

There's a man who goes by Undertaker - that's exequies on the network, E-X-E-Q-U-I-E-S. He's gotten his hands on one of my prescriptions, and is holding it for ransom, and I would like to get it back. If you spot him or hear of his location, give me a ring.

[Last night hadn't been fun. It had been terrifying and Sora honestly wanted to believe it had all just been a bad dream but he knew it wasn't. He didn't like being scared of his friends but it was hard to shake the fear, especially of--
